As the parent company of the Grassy Mountain Gold Project, Paramount Gold is committed to advancing the project responsibly with a disciplined approach that reflects strong environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and transparent governance. Our approach aligns with regulatory requirements and established industry best practices, while emphasizing building long-term relationships with local communities, Tribal Nations, and other stakeholders.
Sustainability considerations are integrated throughout the lifecycle of the Grassy Mountain Project—from design and permitting through construction, operations, reclamation and closure. This means we incorporate environmental controls into project design. It also involves managing water and waste materials responsibly, considering climate-related factors, and focusing on the safety of our workers and the community. We aim to create measurable lasting economic benefits for local communities.
The project is designed to apply established practices in areas such as water management, biodiversity protection, tailings and waste management, and energy efficiency. Environmental performance will be monitored throughout the life of the project using the results to make continuous improvements. We will engage regularly with local communities and other key stakeholders and disclose our progress through public reporting.
Sustainability is a core operational priority, as defined in Paramount’s Sustainability Policy. For Grassy Mountain, this means setting clear standards, monitoring performance, and making decisions that support environmental protection, community well-being, and long‑term project success.
ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP
Responsible environmental management will guide the development of the Grassy Mountain Project. We will work to minimize impacts on land, water, and wildlife, in accordance with regulatory requirements and approved environmental management plans. Environmental controls are integrated into the project design, permitting, and future construction and operations, with a focus on minimizing disturbance to the land, managing water quality and quantity, and protecting habitats. Paramount’s approach includes responsible management of tailings and waste materials.
Where feasible, disturbed areas will be restored as work is completed, with the objective of achieving a stable, self-sustaining landscape consistent with accepted closure plans.

Is there a risk of arsenic contaminating drinking water?
Will contaminated materials be left behind?
How does the project protect wildlife and sage grouse?
SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY & LOCAL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
The Grassy Mountain Project is expected to contribute to the regional economy through employment, local procurement, and payments to governments.
We will prioritize local hiring where qualified workers are available, and support workforce participation through training and skills development over the life of the project. Engagement with communities and Tribal Nations will be vital to understand what is important to them, and to identify opportunities where Grassy can offer meaningful project-related support.
Working with local and regional businesses will allow us to identify procurement opportunities and then communicate upcoming contracting needs for the goods and services required to construct and operate the project.
Economic contributions, including employment, local procurement, and payments to government will be publicly reported so communities can see how the project is contributing to the regional economy.
GOVERNANCE
Governance for the Grassy Mountain Project refers to the policies, oversight, and decision-making processes that ensure the project is managed responsibly. These are underpinned by clear reporting processes that support regulatory compliance and ethical business conduct. The project operates in alignment with Paramount Gold’s Sustainability Policy and ESG Framework, which set the expectations of all Paramount’s projects for environmental management, community engagement, and corporate behavior.
Responsibility for sustainability performance is assigned across the Grassy Mountain team, with oversight provided by Paramount Gold’s senior management. Performance is regularly reviewed, and any issues that arise are investigated and addressed through established procedures.
